Holy Images Fit for Holiday Tree Ornamentation Our holiday season exhibit is entitled Holy Images Suitable for Holiday Tree Ornamentation. This whimsical title hides a collection of images of original artwork staggering in their significance. While the collector has chosen to imagine the artifacts in use as holiday tree ornaments, their original uses are unknown, and undoubtedly run the gamut from mere tree decoration to items dangling from rear-view mirrors, to major religious icons. The most outstanding element of this collection must lie in the demonstration of the universality of the central motif of the collection, the well-known Flying Spaghetti Monster. These pieces have come from cultures all over the globe, throughout history, yet their similarities provide almost overwhelming evidence of a common belief in what is widely regarded as the ultimate creative force in the universe.
